After reading some posts here, maybe we should get a list going for Lenovo marketing....all those in favor of renaming the T61's and beyond CreakPads.

Better yet maybe we can find a buyer to rescue the ThinkPad brand.
Graveyard spiral...? Probably not. Thinkpads are just going to become common cheap laptops.

How about the Lenovo ChinkPad? They are coming from China after all.
Disclosure: I’m half Chinese so this is not intended to be a racial slur, just a j/k.

Something like the Lenovo x4000GTS lacks the clout that the IBM ThinkPad has going for it. Lenovo may just end up being another name in the sea of brand names. Yet I suppose I can see Lenovo becoming as recognizable as Asus a few years down the road.

I think they should just renew the contract with IBM to use the ThinkPad name, pay royalties, et cetera. Otherwise, what happens? IBM regains its rights to produce ThinkPads? Or, the ultra successful ThinkPad line dies? Now that would be incredibly silly.

Nice and easy dude.. Take a cup of coffee, sit down and read your newspaper, indulge yourself with a crossword or something and don´t forget to breathe properly.

After some years of experience and failures, you will maybe learn one thing or two. One of them, I can tell you right now: -ThinkPad machines are still reliable and have a high quality. I would like to say that they are far better than the average laptop sold on todays market.

Since there are more laptops sold these days, of course more people will have problems with their computers. And if you have not figured it out yet, this is NOT only a Lenovo/IBM issue, but, all manufacturers experience the same things.

Good to see there are some people who can get so easily amused for so little.

Lived in Silicon Valley all your life and can not do better than.. ehh.. this?? I guess that it was a joke, otherwise... OMG!!

    lifebytes, thx for the link.

batman5315, you are welcome to read other sections in this forum for more articles. If you do not want, then do as many others do: -Go and ask your administrator.

Well well, of course there are so many things you would like to call the ThinkPad series, and I admit, for jokes, my favorite is "StinkPad", but that is just because of the name, not what it stands for.

And you who do not like this series; go get something else! You have my blessings! ;-P
