    Hello everyone,

I have a corrupt windows installer that prevents me from installing new programs and un-install old program.

I tried all sorts of ways and bought it to a tech, who suggests that I try the windows repair.

I was wondering if windows repair is likely to fix the problem?

And also, supposedly windows repair does not reformat your hardrive. Again, can someone tell me if how likely is it that my harddrive is reformatted?

Of course I will back up my HD, but I still would like to know...

If anyone had problem with windows installer, please share.. Thank you!
