    Good afternoon,

I am looking to replace the LCD screen on my T430
    (1366.x768) with the 1600x900 Screen.

I have seen the panels listed in order of performance as

    Samsung
    LG
    AUO

I would prefer a Matte Screen, and if you could assist
with Part numbers or best place to acquire one, that
    would be helpful as well.

Is there anything different between the 2 screen type resolutions
that it may not work as well?

    Thank you for you help.

One panel may be slightly better or worst than the next, but they're all fairly similar in my experience. There can be some variances in the panels too. One LG might look slightly better or worse than the next.

You can buy the screen directly from Lenovo, but it will be very expensive. You might want to post over on ThinkPads.com Marketplace forum to see if anyone has an extra LCD. eBay is another option, but I would try to get a genuine Lenovo screen. It will have the FRU printed on the back of the screen.

You should also bear in mind that the LCD swap will void the warranty...so you should keep the old panel just in case the machine ever needs to be sent in for a repair...

The Samsung Panel is the "best". It doesn't have the screen door effect.

You can get the glossy Alienware M14x Panel too. It doesn't have the screen door effect either.
