In installing an mSATA drive in my new X230 last night, although there is only one screw holding in the drive itself, one has to unscrew several screws on the bottom of the case to be able to remove the keyboard and palm rest, in order to be able to access the mini-PCI slot.

One of those little black screws fell on the floor, and I couldn't find it.

The Hardware Maintenance Manual states exactly what kind of screw that is.

Can I get a replacement screw from Lenovo? If yes, how do I do that? (Hopefully without waiting on hold for hours on the phone, finally to speak to someone who doesn't understand English.) (Hopefully also without having to spend a lot of money to get one little screw.) (I did buy the accidental damage protection warranty, if that makes any difference.) Can one do it online or by e-mail, to avoid telephone waits and misunderstanding?

I would get a set of replacement screws on eBay as most likely it would be cheaper and quicker than getting them from Lenovo. Most on eBay would be recycled from older Lenovo/IBM units which should be compatible with your X230.

I would hope that Lenovo would send me one at no charge, especially with the accidental damage warranty. Don't know if it would be a hassle though.

If I order screws on Ebay I wouldn't know if they are correct. Besides, I only need one.
