I just wanted to know if replacing my WUXGA screen with a QXGA screen would be too much of a hassle, i know the procedure and know that my GPU supports the res, so how easy would it be to do this? Another very important question will be where can these laptop displays be bought? I looked on eBay but to no avail, and wouldn't it have to be WQXGA since my T61p is a widescreen version?

Huh? 2560*1600? Unless you want to mount a 30" screen on your laptop, then no, it's not possible.

It's not a question of how much hassle to do it, you can't do it at all. About five years ago, IDtech and BOEHydis produced a QXGA 15" IPS panel. There is no widescreen equivalent of that screen.

WUXGA is 16:10 while QXGA is 4:3. You'd need a 4:3 ThinkPad to do QXGA. The IBM FRU is 92P6684.

Ahh, thought that it was only produced in 4:3 format. Oh well.
