    Hello to all,

I have in plan to buy ThinkPad Edge E520 NZ3K3SC

    and I have question:

Can its i3 CPU be replaced with i7 Quad Core 2630QM or 2820QM?!

I will use this computer for gaming and study and Dual Core i3 is too weak.

I know that for gaming is better to buying notebook from ASUS, HP, DELL but I like ThinkPads!!:)

I haves 2 ThinkPads R60 & SL510 in last 6 years (with upgraded CPUs T7200 and P9500) and I be very pleased with Lenovo quality and these notebooks never made me hardware problems like Compaq and MSI notebooks which I have before ThinkPads.

My option is that Radeon 6630M with 2 GB is quite good GPU if it have support from Quad Core CPU.

    Ahoy

Im not sure whether it helps or not, but Ive seen some E520 and some EliteBooks sold on Ebay with after market quad core i7 upgrades.
