Hi...
Could any of you experienced folks tell me whether the 42T3143 keyboard is (1) compatible with the R400 and (2) whether it has the solid backplate? This is the NMB KB as per some posts here.
I have titled this as urgent because I am getting a very good price for it (free) from ThinkPad Center and I need to confirm this ASAP.
Thanks
Edit: I found a good set of pics here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=322896
Edit: And this site says it is compatible: http://www.laptoppartsexpert.com/i-2875405-keyboard-14-widescreen.html But what do they mean by 14" widescreen here?
So, now all I need is for you folks to confirm and I'll confirm it with the TP Center. I'll owe her a drink though, which is cool!

this is the keyboard for T61. So it is a solid plate design from what i can gather. It is also a very good keyboard design as compared to the Chicony one, much like the older IBM Thinkpads.

@ lead_org...cool...but it will work on the R400 correct? You are possibly best placed to answer this given that you are surrounded by these machines!!!!!
