    hi,

I recently upgraded to WUSB and installed antennas for WWAN in my T61.

I thought I'd order the clear plate kit at the time of the other parts and thought I'd share my experiences.

The clear plate kit (42W3658) is a collection of clear plates for both the T61 and T61p. The kit contains every known combination of LED indicators as well as a replacement clear plate for the three lid indicators.

Anyway, having installed WUSB and being on the path of installing a WWAN card I decided to install the clear plate with new symbols to include Wireless PAN and WAN. All the LED's are under the clear plate kit.

Installation wasn't too hard and I took the following steps.

    - Pried up the existing clear plate with a tiny straight head screw driver from a precision screw driver kit.

    - Cleaned the left over adhesive with some isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud.

    - Stuck on the new clear plate kit.

The result is attached in the picture below.

I hope this offers some assistance to those looking at replacing the clear plate kit once they install additional options.
