I needed a DisplayPort to DVI Dual-Link adapter to get full resolution (2560x1600) on my NEC 3090WQXi with a W520 (Quadro 2000M). The NEC is a fabulous monitor but it does not have a DP input. Previously I was using a T400 and its docking station included the Dual-Link DVI so it wasn't an issue.

I've read the various comments about the Accell adapter and it seemed like a hit or miss proposition but I needed to try something so I bought one.

I received it yesterday and immediately plugged it in and configured the monitor in NVIDIA Control Panel. It has worked so far without a hickup and I do have the USB power coming from the W520. Many have reported needing to use a separate USB power supply.

I'll report back here in a few days if I experience any issues but so far it is doing exactly what it is suppose to do.
