Hi.
I'm thinking about getting a T61p 15.4" laptop with the WUXGA (1920x1200) screen, but I want to make sure the screen is legible for my aging eyes.
Can someone hit "Shift-PrtSc" and save the output as a JPEG?
Something like a browser screenshot open fullscreen at default font size of www.nytimes.com would be good.
I greatly appreciate it and hope others might find it useful as well.

You are not required to use the screen at the full 1920x1200 resolution. If you get it and determine that it is too small, you can always choose to run it at 1680x1050 or increase the font size.
Thats the best I can do for you as I only have the 4:3 T60p (1600x1200).

Although I didn't order the WUXGA panel, I can tell you that the WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) panel is fantastic (for me, at least) in terms of size.
See attachments (bleh Windoze).
P.S.
Don't mind the task-bar clutter.
P.P.S.
The T61p is a fantastic machine.Attached Files:

I think it's really hard to tell by looking at screenshots. Since your monitor will simply display them in their .DPI.
Onething you can try will be to use excel size down fonts accordingly. 1920 will simply give you more details by similar size when you shrink.
I had same worry, but I'm considering getting a Dell XPS. -
resolution is optimized for its screen, if you make it less than its native resolution it will look grainy.

Thanks for the previous 1680 x 1050 pic, but that's what my T60 is.
I know that the native resolution won't look as clear, what I'm after is just getting a feel for the size. JPEGs normally render well.
I used to have a Dell 17" with 1920 x 1200 and I totally miss it. And...when I changed font size or resolution either a) font is only part of the equation and b) anything not native looked grainy.
1920 x 1200 screenshot anyone? -
