I want to put my R60 back to factory settings, but the Thinkvantage R&R says no password is configured. When I try to do this after booting up (it also says my local profile cannot be loaded so everything starts fresh - but software and data is there still!), I enter my Windows password, create security questions and then it hangs for hours (it does say, however that this will take several minutes.

I have not set any Windows Restore Points, so that won't work either.

    HELP!

    and thanks..

I do have a Windows XP Pro CD with product key (and purchased separately from any computer). Can I just plug that puppy in and start from scratch?
