    Hi,

I've been trying to create an incremental backup with Rescue and Recover V4.21 on my X200s running XP Pro, and I keep getting the following error:

I've tried closing ZoneAlarm, but, get the same error.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I don't use R and R. You might want to call support.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Do you mind if I ask what you use instead of Rescue and Recovery?

I get the impression that many experienced Thinkpad users don't use R&R. Is that a fair statement?

    Thanks!

I've no idea what others are doing, but I use True Image.

Well, I've been on the phone with Lenovo Tech support on 6 separate phone calls in the last 6 days. My issue has apparently been escalated to level 2 support 5 days ago, but no one has called me back or offered any solutions other than uninstalling R&R and reinstalling it with the latest version.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling twice now, and tried backing up to my local drive and an external drive, but, I run into the exact same error code: 0x590

What's really disappointing to me is that Lenovo can't even tell me what the error code means. I don't expect Level 2 support to have access to source code, but, I'd hope they'd at least be able to translate an error code.

Anyways, I'll report back if I resolve anything.
