I have an X200 Tablet and want everything I write on the tablet with the digital pen to be visible on an external monitor. The problem is that the X200 will only display on the external monitor at the X200's maximum resolution (1280x800) even though the external monitor can go to a higher resolution (1680x1050).

I've tried the Ultramon app, which allows the Tablet and external monitor to both be at their max resolution (which is my goal) but then the digital pen won't work on the Tablet.

    Any thoughts on a solution?

so what exactly do you want? Both your external and tablet monitor displayed on max resolution, however you want the digital stylus to be displayed the external monitor instead of the tablet?

Make sure you have all the latest drivers installed. I've used my X200 non-tables with an external monitor for the longest time, with both set to their max resolutions.

When I use my tablet with an external monitor via VGA on the ultradock, that external monitor becomes the display for the stylus not the tablet, if you touch the tablet with your stylus, the stylus point is displayed on on VGA monitor. This never happened before, my tablet has always been the primary displayed for the tablet cursor.

However, if I use my tablet with my U2711 connected with displayport on the ultradock, the tablet remains as the tablet, the U2711 is merely a extra display.

This never happened before, my tablet has always been the primary displayed for the tablet cursor, unless I have my tablet displayed turned off. Does anybody know how to assign display monitor to display the stylus cursor?

    What I want is:
    1. Tablet at max resolution
    2. External monitor at max resolution
    3. When using the digital pen on the tablet, everything I write is seen on both displays.

I called Lenovo and they said this is not possible with standards drivers. So I loaded up Ultramon (third party app), which provided the max resolution on both displays but the digital pen wouldn't work.

In order to have writing on both display you'll have to duplicate the two display. You can not have both monitor at their max resolution during duplication set up because they have different max resolution.
