May someone send me the link to the site stating their rules?
Better yet, if I want to exchange my lenovo w510 to a lenovo w520, can I customize it and just pay for the difference is price without the restocking fee? I just got it (ordered 3/13 got 3/25) and I've been having some issues. The initial response to the lenovo w520 has been rather good compared to the w510 (to the few people who got to play with it).
Thanks
Steven

Returns and Refunds
Buyer's remorse is not usually a good enough reason for Lenovo to waive the restocking fee. YMMV -
If there are serious issues then Lenovo may allow you to return the machine and give you a full refund. if it is buyer's remorse then there is not much recourse for a full refund.

I had a laptop with issues call service get a service tag and they will let you return it without a restocking fee (I had an RMA but ended up not using is since they repaired the computer perfectly for me)

IIRC Lenovo laptops are made, assembled and shipped from China at least that's how my T60 was handled back in 2007. I'm not sure about the other mfgs like Dell if they assemble and ship from China to the US when you place an order.
Dell for the most part i.e. Dell Business division tends to be more lenient than their consumer division. -
It was cheaper to sell my y460 than to return it, but that's because I bought it on sale and got nearly what I paid for it.

Even if they waive the restocking fee, you still need to pay for shipping and that's probably going to run $50.
I would certainly try the return route if the machine doesn't meet your needs. Poor battery life would seem to be a reasonable reason on the W510. -
if you have valid reasons to return they will send you return shipping label.

It sucks because I really liked the machine otherwise. I'm tempted to order another one because it's the only one that has all the specifications I require. Actually, I'm seeing a coupon for the Y560p that would make it about the same price but include a year of accidental damage protection and a better GPU. Decisions, decisions... -
From what I have understand, the 15" from the Y series have worse screen than the 14 inches one. At least this is true for the Y460 and Y560.

Edit: Looks like the screen issues on the Y560 are related to the switchable graphics of that model. The Y560p only has discreet graphics.
