    Hello Everyone,

I would like to wipe and reload my T400 and remove the recovery partition while I'm doing so. I understand, though, that I may have to make a BIOS setting temporarily to get the hard drive to work until I can get the proper driver installed.

Can someone clarify this, or point me to a guide to reinstalling my T400?

if it is an aftermarket XP pro then you would need to change the SATA mode from ACHI to Compatibility mode.

Then just reinstall the OS are you would normally do.
