So I did a full factory restore from media using the system restore disks, on my T400. When it got to the very last stages, however, when a bunch of messages were scrolling by on a text console, about 10 times it beeped, and before it scrolled away, I saw "File Not Found" about some files it was trying to copy.

This seems highly worrisome to me. Is anybody else getting this?

Yes, this was from the restore utility.

By the way, after it finished, Windows seems to be running fine. I notice that some trial software (notably the Office 2007 trial) was missing, and also some settings were different than those the machine came installed with.

You'd think restore to factory would, in reality, restore it to factory. :-/

Anyway, I'm trying to decide, still, if I should mirror the original to my new disk (which is why I did this restore), or just use as is. I see no problems, and all hardware devices seem to be accounted for in the Device Manager.
