    Hi

I've recently received a G530 to which the space bar keyboard sticks. Thinking that this is a software issue, possibly a virus of some kind, (keyboard is not physically sticking), I decided to reformat the pc and install Windows XP pro as opposed to what originally came with it Windows Vista Basic. I was going to do it anyway because my school doesn't accept Vista.

Anyway, I didn't perform this task without doing a rescue and recovery backup. Surprisingly, it only asked me for 1 CD and not 1 CD + 2 DVDS as stated in one of the guides here. I just assumed that this was fine because I didn't format the hidden partitions, and thought that it is possible to perform a restore from these partitions.

Now I'm stuck, after I installed XP, the keyboard sticking issue was still a problem, so I am trying to restore the Vista image to be able to return the laptop to Lenovo but with no luck. Can anyone enlighten me with this matter? I tried to use the Rescue and Recovery CD but it is not letting me restore the WIM image from the hidden partition. I was thinking that I should just reformat the drive once again, and then extract the WIM image. I've been doing some reading on ImageX, is this a suitable tool for this task?

    Thanks in advance.
