Once in a while, when I resume from sleep or hibernate mode, the LCD does something strange. A few weeks ago I started from sleep or hibernate mode and the screen went black. I had to hard boot my laptop and everything was fine. Today I started from hibernate mode and the LCD was foggy and barely visible, I’ve never seen anything like it. It went back to normal after I restarted.

Can anyone tell me if this is a problem with the LCD itself – or is it just a result of the OS being in a suspended mode and not starting up properly?

In other words, do you think this kind of problem is a hardware or software issue?
