This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Are there any retail stores selling IBM Thinkpads (as opposed to Lenovo)? I want to check something out.

    IBm sold their ThinkPad line to Lenovo, so 'IBM ThinkPads' don't exist.

    Office Max and Staples each carry some of the Lenovo laptop line, but usually just 1 or 2 models. One store I found had a X60 tablet and one of the C series, not a good selection but a bit better than buying without ever seeing one.

    Some Best Buy stores have a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 15.4" widescreen.
