I am sending in my T60 for replacement this week and I am wondering what if any programs I should uninstall before I send it out.

Some programs I have installed include:
    Office 2003
    Sims 2

I'd call up lenovo and ask... I'm not sure what their policy on that kind of stuff is... Most likely, they won't care...

If you're never going to see that laptop again, i'd suggest just restore your OS from the recovery partition. That will delete all data and restore the laptop back to factory specs.

Just pull the hard drive out. They don't need it unless the drive is the problem.

Is a simple right click and delete good enough to get rid of my personal data, or is there another way of doing it?

If you just delete everything from the trash can, the data is still there. I thin there are some freeware products available on the web where they can do a deep delete, basically they delete the data through the trash can once, then writes dummy data over the same sectors where your old data resides. That usually does a pretty good job of wiping your hard drive. But if someone really wants to take a look at your hard drive, there are still ways around even that.

Take a look at your user manual. There should be instructions on there on how to do a restore.

ccleaner performs secure delete but you have to select it, and it's free.

That's the one I am using right now. Darn it, I didn't even know it had a secure delete option :)
