I would like to revert to the old-styled taskbar for my T400. But once I set all the icons to small icons, the three icons that lenovo put on the taskbar prevent the height of the taskbar to be reduced (the wifi button, "ThinkVantage Toolbox", and the battery bar)...

How can I make those smaller? I don't actually want to take those out as they are very useful but please let there be a workaround to reduce the height of the taskbar to gain more vertical viewing space.

    Thanks :)

There's no work around for that. If you want to use all those icons, you'll be stuck with the higher taskbar. If you single it down to just using one of those lenovo toolbars in the taskbar, you can get it back down to the nornal height, otherwise, it stays up higher with any additional lenovo toolbars.

Thanks for the reply. How do I single it down to just using one toolbar in the taskbar?

Right click the taskbar and open the first section at the top labeled 'toolbars' and then uncheck all of them. You'll still have the power manager showing up (but I guess this is systray instead of taskbar so technically you're left with 0 in the taskbar).

I've found the fix! Thanks MastanRiz for the information. I followed it, then after that I re-checked the toolbars that I had removed. Then, they all re-appeared as little icons :D
