Finally a real T410 review.
It's equipped as follows:
You might need the google translator, since it is in German.
- Intel Core i7 620M 2.66 GHz
- 4096 MB, DDR3; PC3-8500F (533MHz)
- NVIDIA Quadro NVS 3100M
- Win7 64Bit

Finally! It's in German though, but you can read it using Google Translate.

From the picture, I can only see only memory slot on the back?

Thanks for the link! Looks like the tradition of using garbage screens is still in play.
I'm also concerned by the reported noise, heat, and battery life.
Still, it is good to see a professional review (even if it isn't in English!)
I definitely agree with their comment that Lenovo really needs to get their stuff together and fix their marketing, their literature, release some statements, educate their own staff, and just get their act together regarding these new machines. This is easy stuff here. -
wow, the old $heety screen with low contrast and very restricted vertical view !
personally I have thrown out this laptop from my list. It is sort of a kidding, more and more good screens appear, but lenova still equips their laptop with the dinosaurs. -
In that review, as well as the other, the notebook hit above or around 65 watts. Granted this was with the discrete GPU. Might this also happen with the Intel integrated chip as well? I am worried what might happen if the notebook asks for over 65 watts from a 65 watt adapter. In building desktops I have always understood that it is good to have a reasonable amount of overhead just in case. Anyone care to comment on this?
Thanks,
Ryan -
I'd guess the integrated is a good 10 watts lower considering you are removing the 14 watt draw of the nvidia chip and the intel processor + graphics is spec'd for 35 watt TDP. If you did push past the available power the BIOS should handle that by downclocking components. Go look at what's happening with the Dell I7's with a 90 watt adapter as an example of this. Those machines with a 35 watt nvidia card + rgb led display are going above 90 watts and downclocking.

Yeah, terrible screen yet again. BUT the prices of these machines are no longer "premium" for anyone who is remotely aware about coupons. I can not imagine shelling out $1500 for any Lenovo laptop anymore. But for $750 that you can now get T400s for, the screen quality is about what you'd expect.
