    Right sized backpack and sleeve for Thinkpad T500 w/ 9 cell battery

    I received my T500 couple weeks ago and I am looking for a sleeve and backpack. The T500 is a 9 cell and I was wondering whether it would fit in a Belkin Neoprene 15.4 sleeve and the Synergy from Swiss Gear backpack. Is anyone using either of these?

    I have that backpack and it has a slot that will fit the T500 nearly perfectly. There is no need for an extra sleeve in the computer slot. I am not familiar with the sleeve you mentioned so I can't comment on fitment there.

    Thanks Andre. The sleeve I mentioned is the one available on the Lenovo website while configuring the laptop.

    It might fit with a very thin sleeve and neoprene is quite thin in most cases, but my guess is that it will be a very tight fit and one might be better served omitting the sleeve with that backpack.

    Well, I use a targus 15.4" sleeve and it fits fine.

    I have not used the synergy but it should fit. I bought the sahara and it does not fit in the compartment but fits fine in the normal rear section with the sleeve on. Worked out okay.

    I do not think that the T500 plus sleeve will fit in the notebook compartment of the bag though.

    i dont think the nine cell would help it fit in a 15.4 sleeve..
    my 15.4 barely fits in a 15.4 sleeve..
    they aren't too roomy
