    Hi All,
I just recently got my Lenovo N100 and have been trying to test out all the components. I've come up to the S-video. I have a cable where 1 end is a 7pin S-video port and the other end is an RCA port which I connect to my TV. When I try to activate the external display, the notebook says that it cannot detect a television connected and hence won't continue to display anything on the TV.

Am I doing something wrong here? what else may I need? I'm new to this s-video thing.

    thanks

have you ever used that cable before? the quality of those things can vary. With the one I have on my thinkpad though it worked easily.

Be sure that the TV is on the right frequency/channel, check the cable, try another one if need be, otherwise it COULD be hardware, at which time you'll need to look into getting the laptop serviced.
