Well, the holiday season is around and I am looking at using some of the money I am getting and putting it into an S10 - but, I am wondering if I should wait for the 6-cell battery. I have a Family and Friends offer from a neighbor and the discount is for an s10 with 160Gb, etc. for 404.10. Should I wait till the 6-cell is out, or purchase this one with the discount and buy the other battery separately?

Usually OEM 6-cell netbook batteries go for $50-100 on average. Leneovo, to my knowledge, has not given a date of release for it. I would assume there are already 3rd party knockoffs that would probably work out just fine. See how your discount would effect the 6cell's price and go from there.

Thanks, gengerald. I took your advice, rather, in a round-about way. I looked at my discount plus a 3rd party battery on ebay with the 25% live plus 10% ebay coupon. This might be a viable option. I think the battery is coming at the end of December. :( I hate being patient!
