    SATA I or SATAII Hard Drive Does it matter?

    I want upgrade the HDD on my T61 14 inch. The one I bought is SATA II , but all the drives listed on Lenovo are SATA. Does it matter?

    no idea what is SATA or SATAII

    SATA I/II does not matter, since SATA II is backwards compatible to SATA I, and SATA II does not offer any boost in performance for HDDs.

    BTW, the T61 is based on the Santa-Rosa platform (ICH8M/M-E), so it is SATA II compliant.
