    Hi all,

I am trying to get my ThinkVantage GPS software to work. It detects the GPS COM Port, but when I hit the 'Start' button it tells me that there is no SIM Card installed. There is a SIM Card installed near the battery-- what gives? Has anybody else had this problem and know of a solution?

Second, I purchased the AT&T 3G internal internet card with it so that I could use the GPS functionality. I am not interested in the AT&T WWAN, can this be used without activating AT&T's broadband service... if not... how do I activate it? There is no information whatsoever on my laptop about activating this, or with anything that came in my laptop box.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Nevermind... I found it... all of the dang software on this thing is hidden. Apparently all I had to do was open some Mobile Broadband program and it automatically started recognizing the SIM card-- if anybody else is confused about this.

I did not have to activate AT&T service for the ThinkVantage GPS software to start recognizing the SIM Card. However, it is currently sitting here telling me that "Satellite Acquisition in Progress..." and has been doing so for a few minutes. The Google GPS Map does not display the correct information as of yet.
