    Hi all,
My new ThinkPad SL400 has a big flex and squeaky spot around the 4 buttons on the left (Lenovo care, volume+/-, mute)
I often catch myself involuntary massaging this spot as if itÂ’s a bruise on my lap. Flex is big and squeak is loud. Is that for all laptops just only my machine?
    :D

If I disassemble and put some paper inside? Any fix for that? Thank you.

I have the same issue with the flex....... but the squeakiness is not that loud....

Based on reading some reviews, I think this is common to all SL 400's

    btw,
how is the temperature on your SL400 keeping? gaming and non-gaming.....

Mine was getting too hot but there was a virus (75C CPU,98C Video card while playing a not so high graphics game)

now it seems ok but high sometimes
    CPU - non Gaming -50-60C
    Graphics card - 50-65C
    CPU-Gaming - 65C
    Graphics Card - Gaming - 84C!!!!

    think its normal

    Hi Batman,

Thanks for the info it's easier to know that all machines are squeaky

Regarding temperatures there is a huge thread (Fan continuously On) on Lenovo forum, look there. My fan is always on too, though I removed a lot of bloat ware. This thinkwantage does all that vista can do just add many more processes to load the machine.
