I would assume the Lenovo Thinkvantage Toolbox would supersede the Lenovo Care utility you have on your SL500 as they offer similar functionality. But that doesn’t stop you having Lenovo Care in place of the Lenovo Thinkvantage Toolbox if that's what you prefer. Take note Lenovo Care was designed for Windows Vista instead of Windows 7 so there maybe a chance of it not working properly, but I used to run the Thinkvantage Tools (for Vista) on my T61 which worked well under Windows 7.

You probably need to uninstall the Thinkvantage Toolbox first to avoid any conflicts, then afterwards install the following package on your SL500 to get Lenovo Care back - Lenovo Care for SL300/400/500.

I know, but I can't turn off my bluetooth radio without Lenovo Care...

    Thanks a lot !

Now, when I press this button, Lenovo Care window appears.

    But there's another issue:

    ---> screen

As you can see, I can't light on/off my button (now it isn't highlighted). Those controls are greyed out...

Do you know why is that ?

(Yesterday I replaced my hard drive, but I don't think that this is the reason)...

Normally pressing FN+F5 allows you to toggle the wireless switches including the Bluetooth.

I can't confirm 100% as I don't have a SL500 but did you install the Hotkey Features Integration on your system?

OK, you might want a read on this particular forum for the SL-Series which also describes a very similar problem to what you're facing.

Apparantly using the Thinkvantage Productivity Centre solves this problem for the SL500 under Windows 7, it works similar to Lenovo Care (in fact Lenovo Care is a direct copy of the Thinkvantage Productivity Centre) and has this lights on/off feature. See if this alternative works out for you better.

Thanks again - it looks nice :D

I have one question - are you able to download Productivity Center at this page ?

Beacuse when I click at Software downloads and guides, an error occurs ( The page you requested cannot be displayed)...

Lenovo Support pages does seem to be down today. I think they're overhauling the site to cater the consumer notebook drivers (Value, IdeaPad) and the ThinkPad ranges and only half completed what they done.

I managed to grab the link for the Productivity Centre for you. Click here to get the software and try it out.

    Thanks for the link.

    Unfortunately, my SL500 isn't supported...

But now, I can turn off the bluetooth by pressing Fn + F5, so I don't need Lenovo Care or Productivity Centre anymore :)

    Best regards,
