I've had my SL510 for some time now, but have just moved over to it from my older XP Lenovo for email, newsgroups etc. This means that now I'm leaving it powered on 24/7.

I've been having various network problems, one of which seems to be caused by Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), which I don't use but can't turn off.

I've disabled it in my profile (but then read that this doesn't affect wifi) tried disabling the service (it just returns on next boot), as well as the normal switch off in Control panel.

Today, using the SysInternals Autoruns program, I went through disabling everything related to the Lenovo wifi helper that appears on the taskbar that I could find. After a reboot ICS was gone, although the non-working icon remained on the taskbar.

I wonder if anyone else can confirm that ICS is enabled by default on their machine (in Control Panel, Network Connections it will say sharing as well as the router name).
