    Hi.

My Thinkpad SL510 was running just fine for the past year and a half. Now I restart it and notice that the display is screwed. The LCD has a native resolution of 1366x768, however it is displaying 1280x800 (cutting off the bottom 32 pixels and leaving a gap on the right)

This is not a software/driver issue!

The problem is present in the BIOS, in the bootloader, when the OS has started, everywhere. xrandr tells me that the LCD even announces itself as capable of 1280x800 max!

I have already tried to remove the battery and AC adapter (coldstart) to no avail.

    What is going on?!

Yep, that's the only explanation I can come up with, too.

But how can that happen? Is there a way to manually edit the EDID?
