Hi, I'm planning to buy memory for my upcoming T400 (Coming in 5 days). Anyone know what the brand / model of memory it is using? I chose the 1*2gig RAM module and I plan to buy another 2 gig module. As much as possible I'd like to buy the exact same model; otherwise i might just buy a 4gig kit (2*2gig). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

The Lenovo pricing on the RAM is not bad. Why not save yourself some headache and just get it from them/preinstalled?

Looks like the pricing has changed since I ordered mine—it’s more expensive now. I think I paid under 70 dollars from Lenovo—thanks for the heads up though. Then again, it’s only a 16 dollar difference—89 versus 105 for preinstalled.

Yeah, I think they caught on people were getting it for the price they probably paid for it (around $70??) so, now it's profit for them. Shucks I didn't have time to join the bandwagon, lucky you. :)
