    SSD in X300 is different size in W500 ?

    i'm shopping around for new SSD for my W500 and i noticed that there are some 2.5" and 1.8" not sure which one fits into W500 and which one fits into X300 (i think X300 uses 1.8" but not sure)

    the ones im looking at is samsung 64GB the new SLC stuff or the samsung 128GB old MLC stuff

    Regular 2.5" fit in the w500, the x300 only use 1.8" drives.

    sorry for the dump question, so 1.8" will not be screwed right or fit write into the disk place holder of W500 ?

    NO the connector is not the same. Most of the questions you're asking here and on the hardware board is already answered. Just do a google search, it's not that hard.
