    Hello all,
I just got my x230t (yay). but I am having problems installing a new ssd. I have generated recovery media onto an externall hdd I have, then swaped the internal drives. changed boot order to get it to boot from ext-hdd, then it just says "Media Test failure. check cable". I have tried Acronis, but that always fails half way through the cloning precedure. I need help please :)

The recovery media needs to be burned onto a disc, or you might be able to image a single disc of the recovery media imaged to the external HDD.

In what manner did you put the recovery media on to the external drive?

I used the utility from lenovo, It said that I could use a external Hdd I think. I do,t have any way of using an ODD, unless I can send an iso to my other laptop.
