My apologies if this ought to be posted inside the 'clean install' thread.

I recently bought a T60 and want to do a clean install of XP pro. Is it true that I can re-install my current drivers & apps using nothing other than what is located in my SWTOOLS folder? Just seems like all that downloading is an unnecessary step . . .

You can but the drivers in that folder are mostly outdated. But if you dont mind your system being outdated, you can always go the easy route and do that.
