    Samsung Magician program causing random wake up on x200T

    did a search on how to find the cause of random wake up

    and

    powercfg -lastwake (enter)

    would show the program which woke up my thinkpad.

    and it is Samsung Magician tool for S470 128gb SSD.

    It probably wants to check for an update. If you don't want it waking the computer then there's a couple of places where you can check your settings: (a) In the Advanced Power Options > Sleep, check that Allow Wake Timers is disabled; and (b) in Device Manager, go through the bits of hardware, look for Power management tabs and then make sure that Allow this Device to Wake the Computer is not selected.
