In fact, I think Lenovo even sells them with the 1 TB SSDs from Samsung. Though they will charge you 1000 $ for it.

The discounted US price to upgrade from 128gb SATA to the 1tb PCIe NVMe is $360

On the P50, the NVMe drive is a 1020 $ upgrade over the standard HDD.

Lenovo goes really overboard with some of their markups to the point of being obscene

does anything know if there would be whitelist issues with the SSD?

No. There are no SSD whitelists, you should be able to use 3rd party ones without problem.

Well $735 discounted. (Never pay retail from Lenovo)

The 512gb was about that price when it first was an option. Now it's $396.

Lenovo's pricing is strange and inconsistent.

The price difference between the 512gb and 1tb on the P50 is $339, on the X1 the difference is $93, the X1 Yoga $130...
