These are the new choices for the screens for the T-510. What are the features of the the different ones? Actually there seem to be several variations between the HD, HD+ and FHD versions?

15.6" HD Anti-Glare Display with LED Backlight and WWAN Antenna
    15.6" HD+ Anti-Glare Display with LED Backlight
15.6" HD+ Anti-Glare Display with LED Backlight and WWAN Antenna
15.6" FHD Display (95% Gamut, 270nit) with LED Backlight

I know what WWAN stands for. I have written lots of WWAN code.

What I don't know is what FHD HD+ and HD stand for unless it's "high definition".

My apologies if I insulted your intelligence in any way! ;) :D

You are correct; HD stands for High Definition. It's rather annoying and confusing, but the following are being used to describe 16:9 displays-

HD = 720p = 1366x768 (WXGA is also still used by some)
    HD+ = 900p = 1600x900 (or 1680x945)
    FHD or Full HD = 1080p = 1920x1080

    I already miss WXGA+, WSXGA+ and WUXGA....

allfiredup is spot on. I believe there are multiple manufacturers of the HD screen and HD+ screen, but there's only one for the FHD screen (which covers 95% of the NTSC gamut).

Thank you both. I don't blame you for missing them. I know I've said I would only own a 15" screen so what did they do but give 15:9 and then tell us that that resolution was increased! I really think we should protest loudly. It's a shame other manufactuers have already gone this route.

Well then I'd recommend that you think of something else besides Windows.
