I'm interested in knowing what the quality of the screen is on the W510 and if there is a specific screen option that someone could recommend for a new purchase.

    Thanks.

I have not seen any of the W510 screens in person, although I have seen the 1600x900 screen of the T510 that is probably identical to the one offered on the W510.

However, forumers have generally noted that the HD 1366x768 screen is quite mediocre (no better than any other budget laptop screen of this size), the HD+ 1600x900 screen is above average although not stellar, and the FHD 1920x1080 RGB-LED screen is expensive, but provides great screen real estate, horizontal viewing angles, and vibrant colors. I believe the FHD screen is rated up to 270 nit, and covers 95% of the NTSC color gamut.

If you aren't too picky/don't want too high of a screen res/don't have a large budget, the 1600x900 screen would probably be a good choice. Otherwise, I would tend to recommend the FHD screen.

    W510 HD+(1600x900) vs HP 8540W HD+ screen quality?
    Any opinions?
