Finally my reseller has the X220 in Greece i ask him about the screen if is the ips panel or not and he didn't know about the panel.

He give to me the product number 4287-2RG to find more info about the specifications, i search but i cannot find anything about the panel ips or not.

Does anyone have any idea how we find out if the panel is the ips ?

    Thanks in advanced.

If he has the machine, he can just tilt the screen back. If the colors invert, it's not IPS. If they do not invert, it's IPS. If you get the serial number, the parts look up should tell you the screen part number. You could call sales to and ask. They might know. Good Luck.

The big cardboard box the machine comes in should have a shorthand list of the components at made up the order on one side of the box (at least it did on mine). If you ask him to take a picture of that label you can then post the pic on here or at least post what the label says about the screen.

Try Googling the number you gave above. IPS is also called WideView by Lenovo (not to be confused with Wide Screen). It is also called the "Premium" HD display.

Yep. Inside Windows, the screen is called FlexView. Lenovo needs to decide what they want to call it and stick with it haha.
