    Hi
I've had my X220 just over a month (custom ordered from lenovo) and perhaps stupid of me to notice this now but when i gently tap in the middle of the vertical bezels either side of the screen, the bezel rattles. This happens only in the centre area of the bezel, about 2 inches either side of the centre. Upon closer inspection, it appears that both of the bezels are not fixed properly to the panel underneath which appears to be the cause of this rattling....there is a gap of about 0.5mm under the bezels but only around the middle (ie where the rattling happens), the bezel corners appear to be fixed. I presume this is not normal for a laptop costing £1200 & i should get this repaired under the warranty? (3 years here in UK). Do i just contact the nearest Lenovo service centre near me in UK and ask them to repair it?
    Cheers :)

Well, if you are not happy with it, of course! And, given that yo have the 3-yr warranty, it is unlikely you will have problems.

Even better if you have the NBD warranty--so just call them and they should send someone to fetch it. We have similar service in here in SA so when my wife's x200 needed the reading light fixed (not sure if bulb was gone) that is what I did. We had to call a authorized agent (we do not have Lenovo per se in SA). Good luck.

Very true. I have the 3-yr onsite warranty on both my ThinkPads and, particularly in the case of the R400, where I had a creaky palmrest, the service folks came multiple times to my place though eventually they just replaced the machine! What I am trying to say is that the onsite warranty is really very helpful.

It's a known issue for the 3x3 antenna config. Just call for on-site repair to fix it. I just don't bother to call for a repair yet.
