I'm running Windows 7 Build 7100, and have installed all the proper beta drivers for Win 7...system interface driver, all the power management drivers, hotkey, on screen display, etc etc.

However, when I use the Fn+home or Fn+End key combinations to change brightness, NOTHING happens. The same thing occurs when I use Windows 7's brightness slider (in power plans window) to adjust brightness...the screen brightness does not change one bit from maximum to minimum settings.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried both the Vista and Win 7 drivers for everything.

It's a problem with Intel and Nvidia graphic drivers. I don't think you can do anything about it.

It sounds to me as if this is a warranty effort as opposed to a job for this forum.

This is definitely a driver problem. Uninstall your video drivers and re-install newer version.
