I bought a brand new Y50 the other day, (512gb ssd, 4gb vram, 16gb ram) and I absolutely loved it, but the ips was flickering right out of the box. Occasionally the screen will altogether freeze and have many artifacts for a few seconds or just turn completely black (with backlight still on). I found many users online with the same issue and even Lenovo support said it was a known issue. I ended up shipping it in for an RMA only a couple days after I got it because the seller on amazon was out of stock.

Has any one here had experience with this issue? I'm hoping that it is just my unit affected and that I will actually be able to use this laptop when it returns.
