Does anyone else think their T61's screen has a slightly blue tint to it? At first I assumed that it was Vista but after I wiped the hard drive and put Linux on the box the screen still seems to have a Blue tint to any white areas....

Mine is the same way. On my past T60 SXGA+ screen, the white was really bright and vibrant. (Whites looked white.) But on my T61, it looks more gray. I have the Samsung screen. I wonder if the LG screens look different.

The brightness is good for me and everything is sharp and crisp. It's the color, especially the whites that bother me.

Mine T61 is runing XP has same symptom. In the begining, I thought it's BSOD, but I realize XP shouldn't have that. So, I tried to adjust the color correction setting, but it doesn't really work out. My LCD is also Samsung.

Anyone have figure this out? Thanks

This isn't really a defect or anything, some LCD panels just over-emphasize certain colors a little bit out of the box.

Try going to your color control options (in either the Intel graphics applet or the nVidia Control Panel) and switch the "apply to" channel over to blue. Then try adjusting the gamma setting on the blue color channel down. Note that what you want to adjust is the gamma part of the blue channel, *not* the brightness or contrast. This should help a lot, after that just save it as a profile and if their's a "run profile at startup" option, then check that as well. :D

Yeah I was going to play with the Gamma tonight, it just threw me off since I am kind of a screen snob ;-)
