I have a Thinkpad T500 hooked into an advanced mini dock. My monitor is an LCD one that does a max resolution of 1900x1080 and is hooked to the dock. I had it connected to my dock all this time with a DVI cable and it did this resolution. I recently had to change this connection so that I now have it connected with a VGA cable. I just noticed that my resolution went down to 1600x900. Any idea why that is? Is this the max resolution for a vga cable? Thanks.

Thats' what I thought. Just that DVI is a better signal than VGA.

Something weird is going on. When I rebooted I was given the option to switch my monitor to 1920x1080, which is the correct res. Now when I come out of hibernate I am getting 1024x768. I don't know what is going on?
