I have waited too long for the T61p and don't know if it will even come out in the 14.1" standard. The video review of the xps 1330 by Andrew was pretty nice. I figure the 8400 128Mb video card should handle my minimal game playing of civIV and galcivII. If I want a computer for my month long trip next month I need to buy now. Now is the last chance to talk me out of it folks (I have been wanting a thinkpad for sometime but am running out of patience and am a bit concerned with lenovo's performance with the T61).

Personally, if I hadn't bought the T61, I would have ordered the Dell M1330.

Well, waiting is actually a good thing..You do realize that new technology comes every 6 months...right? And the T61P should be coming out this July, and July is not that far away..It's worth the wait man. The T61P should have a more powerful video card than that 8400m. definitely, worth the wait.

Just for the record, I asked my contact at Lenovo when the T61p was coming out, and he has no idea. Which isn't a good sign.

I will be dual booting, using vista for multimedia, gaming, and powerpoint. I will be using linux for work where I can use matlab (matlab under windows sucks), vis5d, and other 3D visualization software. So I figure linux will probably run the same under the xps 1330 then a T61p and the business tools of the thinkpad will be an extra. Am I mistaken here?
