go into your control panel, under mouse, does the ultranav system come up about middle scroll button?

If there is no ultranav, then you would need to install the ultranav software and driver.

Why is that you need to install 2 things? on some computers you only need to install the Synaptics driver then it works.

don't know.. sometimes the system update picks up the thinkvantage software and install it for you. Sometimes it doesn't..
