Hey guys I got my first ThinkPad. One of the things that is annoying me is every time my cursor hits the edge of the screen of programs such as web browsers, my start screen, etc. it begins to scroll. For example if I put my cursor to the bottom edge of the screen, it will begin to scroll down.
Is there any way to disable this feature? I can't find this setting anywhere in the ThinkPad synaptics settings.
Thanks in advance!

If I'm thinking of the same problem that I had in the past, it's caused by the "Lenovo Auto Scroll utility" which does nothing more than what you just described. I'd recommend removing it even if it was not causing any problems, as it's nothing more than annoyance. Try getting rid of it and see if it helps.

YES!!! You were the only one who responded after I had given up hope, and you solved my problem in one shot! I found the program and uninstalled it immediately. Sure enough it was the very cause of my problem. What is so strange is the program doesn't even give you an option to toggle that scrolling feature. I really think it should not be on by default because I find it cumbersome and annoying. Thank you again!
