    Seagate 7200. 1 monumentus hard drive for t60

    Hi I would like to update the hard drive in my T60 with a seagate monunemtus 7200.1.. The price is for the drive is $65.00

    The current drive is a 5400 80 meg. Would I notice any different in load/axcess times? Is it worth the effort?

    There is an improvement with 7200 over 5400 but it depends on your needs.

    If you can swing one of the newer drives, the Seagate 7200.2 or Hitachi 7k200, they benchmark better than the 7200.1. The Hitachi is a little faster. The 80GB Toshiba 5400RPM, I can't remember the model, I had in the Compaq F560 seemed pretty speedy for a 5400RPM. I have the 7200.1 in my Mac Mini.
