    well I've got the Seagate one, and it sometimes makes those bouncing noises, lol, like it's hitting the heads to the wall and those bounce .. well, no biggie I guess, as far as it works.

    but anyways, how much better the Hitachi one would be than the Seagate one, or is it worth it changing it ??

    I am a big Seagate fan and I've used their scsi cheetah series on my dsktop for years. These are the fastest disks in the world. I fully expected Seagate to continue in that tradition for their laptops disks but they didn't.

    In reading on the net, the Hitachis are somewhat faster and that's what I bought which was a 200 gb hitachi instead of a Seagate.
